Q2 How do I convert the book content into a ComicGURU file?

     With user friendly ComicGURU converter tool, you can change bunch of comic strips
     into CXB ComicGURU book files. After conversion, copy your book file into
     ComicGURU supported PDA and enjoy it.

Q3 Where can I get those comic books?

     For now you have to make your own comic books or share with your friends.
     Free comic images can be found on many internet sites. You can also scan your
     favorite comic books and convert into your own CXB files. (Comic book service is
     planned on future.)

Q4 What is CXB format?

     ComicGURU image format was developed to fulfill Size, Speed and Quality on gray
     scale images and now supports color. ComicGURU can compress 200 pages of
     gray 320 by 600 pixel images into approximately 6MB file. Fast decoding format
     enables the chances of selecting variety of supporting handheld devices.
     (B/W only CMB format is only available in ComicGURU ver 1.x )

Q5 What kind of image formats does ComicGURU support?

     Popular image formats such as jpg, gif, bmp, png, pcx, tga is supported for
     ComicGURU.

Q6 Can I see ComicGURU in color?

     Now you can pack your color images into your PDA with fast and powerful
     Raysolutions ComicGURU Color. ComicGURU color format was developed for
     maximum performance with minimum number of colors. Compression in "Size"
     option is best for documents, color cartoons and illustrations while "Quality" option is
     optimized for photo images.

Q7 Why is the image limited to 320 pixels?

     Most of PDA has 320 screen formats in common. (even on most of PocketPCs if you
     view in landscape at least you can view 320 pixels) Smaller the constraints harder
     the chance of reading text. So 320 was minimum choice on image sizes. As reading
     text is almost impossible on 160x160 pixels low resolution Palm Handheld such as
     m100, those have been excluded from support list.

Q8 Does ComicGURU support other than 320 resolution?

     We have no plans on supporting lower than 320 pixels. Over 320 pixel image
     depends on devices and will be in the future.

Q9 How many pages are possible to pack in CXB?

     As long as memory permits. Generally black and white comic book has 200 pages
     and size of 6~7 Mb.

Q10 Dose ComicGURU support non-PALM PDAs?

     ComicGURU Viewer supports CLIE or Tungsten series for Palm OS and i-Paq,
     Jornada and Carsiopia based on Pocket PC OS now. For others will be announced
     as you have a plan hearafter.

Q11 Can I see ComicGURU files in my PC?

     You can see CXB files with free ComicGURU Viewer for Windows.

     MemoryStick is external expansion memory card developed by Sony Corp.
     Most of Sony CLIE PDA has MemoryStick slots which ComicGURU book files are
     stored into.

     Put you CLIE into cradle and run MSImport. Then check for your memorystick to be
     mounted into removable drive in Windows.
     Copy CXB file into /palm/programs/ComicGURU/ with windows file explorer or
     ComicGURU memorystick Export.

     Because of CXB file sizes and Palm limitation, CXB files cannot be copied into
     Palm main memory.

     There might have been error while sending files into MemoryStick.
     If you can successfully see same page with Windows ComicGURU viewer then
     please check file with "CRC" in book info dialog of ComicGURU viewer in PDA.

Q16 How do I copy ComicGURU file into Tungsten SD memory card?

     To copy ComicGURU files Use SD memory card reader or Palm utility like
     SyncWizard. Copy CXB file into /palm/programs/ComicGURU/ SD card directory
     with windows file explorer or ComicGURU memorystick Export.
